Network Initiatives
Network Initiatives are autonomous projects, guilds, or working groups that align with the mission, vision, values, and identity of ReFi DAO. These initiatives operate independently with their own teams, resources, and structures, while maintaining coherence with the broader network’s goals and brand identity. They may also receive financial support and guidance from ReFi DAO Global.
As described in ReFi DAO Network - Structure, Roles, & Governance, Network Initiatives differ from Local Nodes in that they are thematic or functional rather than place-based. While Local Nodes focus on regional regenerative economies, Network Initiatives bring specialized focus and innovation to specific areas of the DAO’s mission.

A media initiative that shares knowledge, interviews, and insights from the regenerative finance space.
ReFi EBF
Initiative focused on the Ecological Benefits Framework (EBF) and fostering partnerships within the ReFi community.
Prosperity Passport Development
Development of a product to support Web3 identity in the Celo and ReFi economy.

Online Guilds
Connected communities of skilled professionals with shared disciplines. Guilds provide spaces for practitioners to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance their craft within the regenerative finance ecosystem.

- Governance Participation: Engage in ReFi DAO’s governance processes when decisions impact their activities
- Transparency and Accountability: Share periodic updates on progress, impact, and resource utilization
- Knowledge Sharing: Share learnings and best practices with the broader ReFi DAO community
Funding Opportunities
Network Initiatives can access funding through the ReFi DAO Network Initiatives Pool on Gardens, which provides up to 3,000 USDGLO per proposal through conviction voting.

Starting a Network Initiative
Interested in launching a Network Initiative? The process involves:
- Become a Network Member - Sign the Community Covenant and join ReFi DAO’s Garden
- Join ReFi DAO Global - Apply to become a Core Contributor (required for Initiative Leads)
- Submit a Proposal - Create a comprehensive proposal on Gardens requesting funding (up to 3,000 USDGLO)
- Launch and Integrate - Once approved, launch your initiative and integrate with network coordination

Note: The Network Initiatives funding pool is designed to fund new initiatives or specific partnership initiatives within the ReFi DAO network (e.g., collaboration projects with a Local Node). This funding is not intended to support the development of your existing ReFi project but rather to establish new initiatives that will operate as part of the ReFi DAO ecosystem.
